TOB Dedicates John Walker Memorial Park
On Oct. 15, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto, together with members of the town board and the local community, dedicated the new John Walker Memorial Park on Andrews Road in Hicksville. The park, which features synthetic playing surfaces for baseball, lacrosse, football and soccer as well as two playgrounds is already being enjoyed by local youth organizations.

Big Shot Performs at Leukemia Fundraiser
Big Shot, a world class Billy Joel Tribute band, gave a rocking performance for the friends of Holy Family on Nov. 5 in honor of leukemia patient Kirsten Stauder in the school's gymnasium of Holy Family School. Through Concert for a Cause, more than $21,000 was raised for the Stauder family.

Shins Tae Kwon Do Holds Awards Ceremony
In September, Shin's Tae Kwon Do Center of Hicksville had a grand celebration in honor of the school's 11th anniversary of teaching children, teens and adults. Classes help improve one's ability to focus and concentrate, build confidence and self-esteem as well as improve balance and coordination to excel in sports.
