Under cloudy skies the league had 36 men play and they managed 41 pars. George Thomas had 3 pars and a birdie on the par 3, 157-yard 7th hole. The league had 4 pars each by Lou Neumann and Dave Malle and they had 5 pars and a birdie on par 4, 272-yard, 6th hole by George Hatalsky. Lou Rezoagli also had a birdie on the par 3, 182-yard, 9th hole.

The next and final tournament for this season will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20. Immediately after golf, everyone will go to the VFW Hall on Broadway for lunch and distribution of trophies and prizes.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 11 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 12 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Note: Because of the rapid growth its club this year, it regrets that it must limit its membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, it will accept you, but after that it will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
