St. Ignatius Loyola's Annual Picnic
St. Ignatius Loyola recently held its annual Parish Picnic and Outdoor Mass, which was concelebrated by six priests. Pastor Monsignor Donald Bennett presided over the Mass along with Associate Pastors Father James Carmody and Douglas Arcoleo. Joining in the celebration was Reverend Father Jose Quilcate, who has pioneered in the leadership of St. Ignatius' Hispanic congregation, along with the parish's two visiting summer priests, Father Sean Fernandez of Australia and Father Simpliciano Fernandez of Goa, India, who both shared in St. Ignatius' many Sunday Masses and rendered numerous services.

Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League
Under cloudy skies the league had 36 men play and they managed 41 pars. George Thomas had 3 pars and a birdie on the par 3, 157-yard 7th hole. The league had 4 pars each by Lou Neumann and Dave Malle and they had 5 pars and a birdie on par 4, 272-yard, 6th hole by George Hatalsky. Lou Rezoagli also had a birdie on the par 3, 182-yard, 9th hole.

Joseph Roach Wins First Prize in TOB Bluefish Tourney
New York State Assemblyman Rob Walker (left) and Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Rose Marie Walker recently presented the first prize award to Hicksville resident Joseph Roach who captured the top spot in September's 20th Annual Town of Oyster Bay Bluefish Tournament.
