Michael J. Kennedy, of Hicksville, died on Sept. 6, 2005. He was a USMC veteran of Vietnam and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a former member of the Hicksville VFW. Father of Patrick and Brian. Brother of Joseph and Eileen Vogler. Grandfather of Alice Ava. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass at St. Ignatius RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.

Herbert P. Collins, of Hicksville, formerly of Mineola, died on Sept. 7, 2005. He was a WWII Airforce veteran and retired from LILCO. Husband of Genevieve (nee Gilmore). Father of Janet Lundgren (James), Peter (Susan) and the late Dennis (Denise). Brother of Walter. Grandfather of Heather, Timothy and Andrew. The family was cared for by the Thomas F.
