Charles E. Tallman, of Hicksville, died on Aug. 31, 2005. He served from 1944 to 1987 with the US Navy Seabees and the US Army. He was a life member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV and was a retired employee of LILCO and Laumann Well Company. He was an executive board member of the Central Park Historical Society. Husband of 55 years of Audrey (nee Benkert). Father of Scott and Dean (Erica). Grandfather of Leah and Derek. Brother of Robert Tallman, Jack Tallman an Anna Lee Emery.
