Charles Schauss, of Bethpage, formerly of Hicksville, died on July 4, 2005 with his family at his side. Husband of Dorothy. Father and father-in-law of Richard and Marie, Barbara and Tony Bailey, Karen Schauss and Bill and Elaine. Grandfather of Joey, Cara, Anthony, Luke, Lisa, Joy, Monica, Rebecca and Kyle. Francesco Sansotta, of Baldwin, died on July 11, 2005. Husband of Caterina. Father of Joseph, Frankie and Carmine (of Hicksville). Marc Travis Ferguson, of Hicksville and Jeffersonton, VA, died on June 14, 2005 from complications due to cancer. He was 24 years old.

Growing up, Mr. Ferguson attended Hicksville's East Street Elementary School, Hicksville Middle School and was a 1999 graduate of Hicksville High School. He was also an Eagle Scout and Civil Air Patrol Coordinator. At the time of his death, Mr. Ferguson was employed as the youngest lear jet pilot for Chantilly Air in Virginia, a position he held for five years.
Mr. Ferguson is survived by his wife, Danielle; parents, Peter and Dee Ferguson of Hicksville; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Thomas McManus of Plainview; niece, Samantha; and nephew, Matthew.
