Hicksville Football Association Cheerleading is looking for responsible and dedicated young ladies ages 13 and up to coach cheerleaders between the ages of 5 and 12 for the 2005 football season. Prior cheerleading experience a plus but not required.

Coaches are responsible for teaching the girls standard sideline cheers and a half-time cheer/dance. Even if you have no cheer experience, you can be an assistant coach, which is just as helpful.

The season starts at the beginning of August and runs through the beginning of November. There is one game a week, usually on Sunday, and practices will be held once or twice a week until the second week in September.

Community service hours will be given. At the end of the season, each coach will receive a letter of reference. Community service like this looks really good on a college resume.

Anyone interested should contact Gina Ferrara at 937-1682 or Denise Castagna at 822-0913 as soon as possible.
