Hicksville residents Diana Geneva and Meghan O'Reilly played a major role in winning the New York State Cup Championship for the second year in a row. They will head to Virginia Beach to compete in the Regional Championship and hopefully the nationals in Orlando after that.

Their team, the ISA Magic, is currently ranked fourth in the nation and, in addition to being number one in the state, is also number one in the entire northeast. The ISA Magic have won many prestigious tournaments, including the Disney Showcase Classic, The Wags tournament and the PDA Classic competing against the top teams in the country.

Last fall, Geneva, a student at Hicksville High School, and O'Reilly, a student at Holy Trinity High School, were both All-Conference selections for their local high school varsity teams. O'Reilly achieved the honor for the second year in a row after being selected as a freshman at Trinity.
