The Long Island Rail Road's Main Line Corridor Improvement project is currently undergoing an environmental review process. Although railroad officials believe the project is "vitally important" to its customers and provides "both safety and convenience benefits" to the communities along the 11.5-mile corridor between Queens Village and Hicksville, many remain cautious.
Xtreme Premier Division Winners at Top National Tournament
The Hicksville Boys U10 Xtreme took another step toward national recognition as they won the Premier Division of the FC Delco Players Cup over the Memorial Day weekend. This tournament is the 18th ranked tournament in the nation (based on the competition it draws) and the number one ranked tournament for the U10 age group (www.gotsoccer.com ranking). This tournament is so prestigious that teams from overseas, England and Italy, make the trip to compete against the best.

Register Now for HASC's Fall 2005-Spring 2006 Season
Registration the Hicksville American Soccer Club's fall 2005-spring 2006 season is currently under way. Registration forms are available in the Hicksville Public Library's Children's Room or online at www.hicksvillesoccerclub.com. In-person intramural registration for children born between Aug. 1, 1996 and July 31, 2002 will take place on June 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Levittown Hall.
