Hicksville Fire Department's Floodlight Heavy Rescue Company 8 is inviting players to its 12th Annual Golf Outing on Friday, June 17 at the Swan Lake Golf Club. The event is an 8 a.m. shotgun start and is $140 per player, which covers the greens fee, cart, continental breakfast and lunch on the golf course. Miles for Medals, Special Olympics New York's (SONY) statewide walkathon program, is coming to Long Island on Saturday, June 11. Participants will enjoy a fun day of exercise and the chance to raise funds for a great cause by completing the 2.5 mile course.
