The Hicksville Boys Varsity Volleyball Team recently completed its undefeated season (13-0) with a win over Port Washington. Led by seniors Matt Austen, Panos Kourkoumelis and Brian Bacchi, the team won the match in three games (25-12, 25-20 and 25-12). In addition, Hicksville became the conference champs last week with their 11th win and began the playoffs on May 26 at Hicksville High School.

Austen opened the third match by serving 11 straight points. He added 18 digs to bring his season total to 228. Austen and Kourkoumelis had five and nine kills, respectively, to bring them to a tie for most kills in the season - 146 each. Bacchi had nine blocks to bring his season total to 70. He also led the team with 11 kills.
