Robert J. Foster, US Army veteran, died on April 4, 2005 at the age of 75. He was born Jan. 6, 1930 in Astoria, Queens and moved to Hicksville in 1965 where he raised his family for 20 years. In 1985 he retired from the New York Daily News and moved to North Carolina.

Father of sons, Kevin, James and Mitchell and daughter, Elizabeth. Grandfather of Connor, Eric, Julie and Tara. Great-grandfather of Alexis. An incredible man. God Bless his soul. May he rest in peace.
