After trying three times we finally were able to start our season today. There were 36 men. The overall scores were not too good. Only four men shot their handicap or lower, but everybody was glad to get out and play after all that snow this winter. We managed to get 18 pars and 2 birdies. One on the par 3, 150 yard, third hole by Lou Rezoagli and the other on the par 4, 272-yard, sixth hole by John Wearling.

The next tournament will be on Thursday, April 21. Sign in is at 7 a.m.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 11 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 12 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Because of the rapid growth of the club this year, they regret that they must limit our membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, you will be accepted, but after that you will have to be put on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Newmann at 681-2056.
