Congratulations to the Hicksville High School's Varsity Football team on a successful season. The 2004 Comets earned victories against Plainview, Port Washington, Long Beach and Valley Stream Central before falling to Freeport in the playoffs.

Junior running back, Kwabena Asante finished the season with over a thousand yards rushing and was chosen as an All-County player. Seniors Thomas Butler and Jason Osorio had tremendous years as well and were named All-Conference players by the Nassau County Coaches Association. Additionally, Jason Osorio received the National Football Foundation's Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete Award.
