Between the hours of 7 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 3 p.m. on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, my family and I had an unwelcome visitor at our home. This person stole an item of ours, a sign reading "Keep Christ in Christmas."

This act committed at my home was in gross bad taste. This act cannot be justified by a slight reprimand. This was a violation of our religious rights and freedoms. Respect is due from one element of the community to all other elements of the community.

The birth of Christ deserves greater respect. The act mentioned is a violation of our religious freedom.
