The Rotary Club of Hicksville-Jericho and the Hicksville Fire Department wish to thank the many participants in their ninth annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony - all of whom, along with the members of the community who attended, made this event such a success.

A very special thank you to the Ella Marie School of Dance for their performances again this year. We are grateful that these exceptionally talented young people feel so strongly about enhancing this annual event. Thank you also to the gals of the Hicksville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary who again served the hot chocolate and to the Pizza and Gyro Restaurant on the corner of Broadway and East Barclay Street for supplying pizza to those gathered.

The trees were decorated by the Hicksville Gregory Museum, Hicksville Historical Society, North West Civic Association, Hicksville Youth Council, Charles Wagner American Legion Post 421, Joseph Barry Council Knights of Columbus, The Honorable Edward P. Mangano, North Shore University Hospital - Plainview, North Shore University Hospital - Syosset, Montana Agency, Inc., Hicksville Association Girls Scouts of Nassau County, Woodland Avenue Brownie Troop #3315 - Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Hicksville High School Interact Club, Hicksville Water District, William M. Gouse Jr. Post 3211VFW, Hicksville American Soccer Club, Center for Development Disabilities, Inc. and Althea Johnson Agency.

Donations for the Nassau County Burn Center were received from the Hicksville Gregory Museum, Hicksville Historical Society, North West Civic Association, Charles Wagner American Legion Post 421, Joseph Barry Council Knights of Columbus, American Soccer Club, William M. Gouse Post 3211 VFW and Woodland Brownie Troop #3315.

We also must thank Santa Claus for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit our community.
