Youth Basketball Teams Invited to Participate in NYS Basketball Championships
Syracuse's Oncenter complex will play host to the New York State Basketball Championships. Boys and girls youth teams ages 10 through 14 are invited to play in this year's tournament, which will take place Friday, Feb. 25 through Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005. The event will feature opening ceremonies where one boy and one girl will each get the chance to win a $25,000 scholarship, pool and championship play, basketball skills competitions and the Syracuse-Providence Big East men's basketball game at the Carrier Dome.

Nassau Conference AA-2 Soccer Crown Belongs to HHS
The Hicksville High School Varsity Boys Soccer Team got off on the right foot this season and maintained its momentum, completing a successful season with a 9-2-3 record and a playoff berth. The team's hard work and determination helped members keep their eyes on the prize of the Nassau Conference AA-2.
