St. Ignatius Loyola School Receives Accreditation by Middle States Association
The Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools announced that St. Ignatius Loyola School in Hicksville has been awarded accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The award was announced by Dr. Patricia Kelly-Stiles, chair of the commission and deputy superintendent of the Diocese of Brooklyn (NY), following the Commission's November 2004 meeting.

Krummenacker, Single in Race for Fire Commissioner Seat
The Hicksville Fire District will hold elections for fire commissioner on Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. Fire commissioner terms are five years and voting will take place at Hicksville Fire Department headquarters located on East Marie Street.

David Musinski Named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
Hicksville native David Musinski, a senior midfielder and captain of Marist College's Red Foxes soccer team, started all 19 games, recording nine points on four goals and an assist. He scored two goals in the 5-0 win over Canisius on Oct. 8 and assisted on the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Niagara two days later. For his performance, Musinski was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 11. He scored an insurance goal in the 2-0 win over Rider in the MAAC title game and was named to the All-MAAC Second Team.
