I am writing this letter of recommendation for Harry who is running for the position of commissioner for the Hicksville Fire District. I know that Harry would be a great asset for the district for many reasons.

I have known Harry for over six years and worked along with him in many different capacities. We worked together on the Hicksville Baseball Association as board of directors members for the past three years. His dedication and concern for the children and families is quite overwhelming. He is not afraid to fight for the children when he feels the need for changes and improvements. Harry always manages to show up at games and watch the children and enjoys it too.

Harry is also a great asset and has dedicated himself to the Hicksville Football Association; also showing up at games. He is always standing up for what he believes in. He fights for the rights and is not afraid to stand up no matter what the consequences might be.

He is dedicated to his family, to sports and to all the people of Hicksville and I, along with many of my friends, know that he would be a great asset to the Hicksville Fire District.

After hearing about Harry Single running for Hicksville Fire Commissioner I am elated to see that Hicksville needs to look no further for the right candidate.

Along with holding a passion for his town, Single has always been able to decipher what is right and wrong with Hicksville. Whether sponsoring numerous youth groups, working with charities or attending community meetings, Harry Single has always remained close to the pulse of Hicksville. Not only does his track record speak for itself, but Single has always demonstrated the proper skills and strong leadership qualities needed to be an effective fire commissioner.

On Dec. 14, 2004, voters should view this as a unique opportunity to elect one of its finest residents to such an important position. Harry Single as fire commissioner would clearly be a feather in Hicksville's cap.
