Forty-two men golfed on Oct. 7 with a totally of 38 pars, but it was Peter Kerr's day. He shot a net score of 24 and won closest to the pin, and he got two pars and the only birdie of the day on the par four, 259-yard, first hole. Dave Malle bogied the first four holes and then he pared the last five in a row.

The next tournament will be on Thursday, Oct 21. This will be the last tournament for the year and it will be followed by lunch at the VFW Hall on Broadway.

Competition on the nine hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 11 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 12 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is at least 55 years of age is eligible.

Due to the rapid growth of the club this year, the Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League must limit their membership. The time involved to make up foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive.
