The 15th Assembly District-the largest district in Nassau County-is comprised of 40 election districts and communities within the Towns of Hempstead, North Hempstead and Oyster Bay. On Oct. 11, some 100 residents demonstrated outside Station #2 in support of the Hicksville Fire District's plans to renovate the 48-year-old firehouse. Forty-two men golfed on Oct. 7 with a totally of 38 pars, but it was Peter Kerr's day. He shot a net score of 24 and won closest to the pin, and he got two pars and the only birdie of the day on the par four, 259-yard, first hole.
