Chamber Holds Networking Meeting
On June 15, the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce held a networking meeting at the Peppercorns restaurant featuring acclaimed Newsday columnist Ed Lowe. The evening meeting was designed to be a less formal event so that members who cannot attend the chamber's afternoon luncheon meetings had a chance to network and keep updated on the chamber's agenda.

Humann Named to Board of Professional Group
Richard Humann, 50-year Hicksville resident and commissioner of the Hicksville Water District, was recently elected by his peers for the sixth consecutive year to serve as treasurer of the Nassau-Suffolk Water Commissioners' Association, a professional organization of water districts administered by locally-elected water commissioners. The association will continue its ongoing mission of maintaining the excellence of the Long Island public water supply.

Commerce Bank Long Island Golf Classic June 28-July 4
The Hicksville Chamber of Commerce recently held their "19th Hole" event, kicking off the Commerce Bank Long Island Classic Golf Tournament. The event featured an evening of networking and opportunities to putt for prizes including tickets to the Commerce Bank Long Island Classic being held June 28 through July 4 at the Red Course at Eisenhower Park to benefit Schneider's Children's Hospital.
