The Hicksville PAL will sponsor the 1st Annual Kevin Kolm Memorial Lacrosse Day on Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the varsity lacrosse field at Hicksville High School. The fundraiser is being held in honor of Marine Corporal Kevin Kolm, 23, who was killed on April 13 while fighting on behalf of his country in Iraq.

The Kolms are long time residents of Hicksville. Cpl. Kevin went though our Hicksville PAL Lacrosse program, continued to play through middle school and became a star player while at Hicksville High School.

The schedule for the day's events is as follows:

9 to 11 a.m. - Exhibition Practice by the Lizards Professional Lacrosse Team

11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Clinics, giveaways and autographs hosted by the Lizards

12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Hicksville Lacrosse Girls/Boys Games. Clinics by past Hicksville Lacrosse All-Stars, raffles, food and more.

All donations and proceeds from this event will be used to fund a Hicksville PAL scholarship in Cpl. Kolm's memory for a Hicksville High School student.
