On Wednesday, April 28 at approximately 2 p.m. the Hicksville Fire Department received a call for an auto accident between a large dump truck and a red Toyota at the intersection of Old Country Road and Halsey Street. The truck was traveling east on Old Country Road and the car was heading out of the Sunoco Gas Station at the corner of Old Country Road and Newbridge Road and crashed into the side of the mounted gas tanks on the truck. The Hicksville PAL will sponsor the 1st Annual Kevin Kolm Memorial Lacrosse Day on Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the varsity lacrosse field at Hicksville High School. The fundraiser is being held in honor of Marine Corporal Kevin Kolm, 23, who was killed on April 13 while fighting on behalf of his country in Iraq. FULL STORY
