The Hicksville Board of Fire Commissioners voted 3-1 Wednesday night in favor of moving forward with plans to renovate the fire department's Station #2 at its current location (Woodbury Road and Briggs Street.) Commissioners Anthony Wigdzinski, William McKee and Joseph Giardina voted in favor of the project, while Commissioner Charles Hearon voted against it. Robert Dwyer abstained from voting because, as chairman of the board, his vote is only cast in the event of a tie. Due to the Hicksville Illustrated News' production schedule, a complete article on this decision will run in the April 23 issue.
