On Tuesday, March 30, the Hicksville Fire District's Board of Commissioners will hold a second public meeting to provide the community with another opportunity to offer comment on finding a viable solution to the overcrowded conditions at its Station Two, located at the intersection of Woodbury Road and Briggs Street. Mike Wigdzinsky, a senior at Hicksville High School, was a member of the Nassau County High School Hockey All-Star Team that defeated Suffolk County (7-5) in the 8th Annual Vytra Cup, played recently in Nassau Coliseum before 3,500 fans. The Nassau team was coached by Hicksville High School Coach Bill Alonge. Sponsored by Vytra Health Plans, Newsday and the New York Islanders, the all-star showdown is a charity event, with this year's proceeds benefiting All Island Handicapped Sports, a non-profit organization that runs programs for physically challenged children, and the New York Islanders Children's Foundation.
