HFD to Hold Second Public Meeting Regarding Station 2
On Tuesday, March 30, the Hicksville Fire District's Board of Commissioners will hold a second public meeting to provide the community with another opportunity to offer comment on finding a viable solution to the overcrowded conditions at its Station Two, located at the intersection of Woodbury Road and Briggs Street. The public meeting, which will commence at 7 p.m., will be held at Hicksville Fire Department headquarters, located at 20 East Marie Street.

Fundraiser to Benefit Sarah Grace Foundation April 23
The Sarah Grace Foundation for Children with Cancer, Inc. will present a "A Night of Laughter" on Friday, April 23 at the William M. Gouse, Jr. VFW Post 3211, 320 South Broadway in Hicksville. This benefit fundraiser will feature such comedians as Peaches Rodriquez, Russ Gerard, Joe Moffa and Rick Morgan as well as card magician Walter Holmes and magician-juggler Infantino.

Wigdzinsky, Nassau High School All Star
Mike Wigdzinsky, a senior at Hicksville High School, was a member of the Nassau County High School Hockey All-Star Team that defeated Suffolk County (7-5) in the 8th Annual Vytra Cup, played recently in Nassau Coliseum before 3,500 fans. The Nassau team was coached by Hicksville High School Coach Bill Alonge. Sponsored by Vytra Health Plans, Newsday and the New York Islanders, the all-star showdown is a charity event, with this year's proceeds benefiting All Island Handicapped Sports, a non-profit organization that runs programs for physically challenged children, and the New York Islanders Children's Foundation.

Stars, Stripes & Skates - An Official 9/11 Annual Commemorative Event
Floyd Hall Arena in Little Falls, NJ and The Rinx in Hauppauge will host Stars Stripes and Skates Skate-a-Thon 2004 - a fundraising event leading up to the biggest September 11, 2001 Commemorative in New York City featuring the world's top figure skaters, in April.
