Homeowners: State's Responsible for Repairing Fences
Residents on Blueberry Lane in Hicksville want the state to live up to its word and replace fences that were destroyed by Department of Transportation (DOT) snow plows back in December 2003. According to Michelle Schumacher, the state is now saying they are not responsible for replacing the stockade fences that once shielded the backs of these homes from traffic and passersby along Newbridge Road, even though they sent workers out the following day to erect temporary fencing around the properties.
