In its playoff opener against Infant Jesus, Holy Family appeared to be in trouble when star players Courtney and Erin Breen got into early foul trouble which forced them to spend almost the entire first-half on the bench. Nicole Robison capably filled the void. With a dazzling display of shooting, Nicole pumped in a game high 20 points while snatching 7 rebounds and collecting three steals, leading Holy Family to a 45-33 victory over Infant Jesus.

Erin, despite the foul trouble, scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Courtney, although seeing very limited action due to foul trouble and a hand injury, still managed to score 4 points, pull down 8 rebounds and dish out 4 assists.

Nicole DeGennaro, with 4 points and 3 steals, Kristen Burgos, with 4 points and 7 rebounds and Jen Osorio, with 2 points and 6 rebounds, played brilliant all around games. Katie Leo, Loree Bailey (2 points) and Jackie Vitanza played superb defense, preventing their opponents from mounting a comeback.
