The parents and coaches would like to congratulate the Boys U9 Extreme Developmental Squad on their two consecutive first place finishes in two tournaments, held in separate states on the same day.
On Sunday, Jan. 18, the boys traveled to a morning tournament at the Teaneck Armory, NJ, where they bested competition from several local New Jersey clubs, before jumping back in their cars to journey through the thickening snow to an evening tournament held in Plainedge. During the course of their undefeated 10 game marathon day the boys scored 40 goals, limiting their competition to just two. It was truly a team effort with superb play from every member of the squad.
The coaches would like to thank not only the players, but their parents too, for the extreme dedication to the team and their children, including their tireless taxi service for all the practices and games, it definitely has paid off. Lastly, the coaches would like to provide extra acknowledgement to the Bellamy family who managed to squeeze in a basketball game between the tournaments for their son as well.
