Nassau County Police Department Second Squad detectives are investigating an assault that occurred in Hicksville on Jan. 20 at 11:15 p.m.
Detectives report that during a fight between a large group of people at the Woodland Elementary School on Ketchums Road, an unknown person or persons stabbed a male victim with an unknown object multiple times in the back, chest, hip and forehead.
The victim went to North Shore University Hospital - Plainview in a private vehicle. Hospital personnel called the Second Precinct. The victim was then transported to the trauma center at North Shore University Hospital - Manhasset and was admitted for his injuries. As of press time, he was listed in stable condition.

Nassau County Police Department's Second Squad is investigating a robbery that occurred in Hicksville at 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 23.
According to detectives, four unknown males forcibly entered a residence on Bethpage Road and robbed three occupants of the downstairs apartment after they were bound and taken to the bathroom at gunpoint. After taking cash and jewelry, the subjects fled in an unknown direction.
There were no injuries and police were notified after the victims were able to free themselves. The subjects are described as follows:
1. A Hispanic male, 28 to 33 years old, with a moustache and goatee wearing beige pants, a white jacket, tan work boots and armed with a black handgun;
2. A Hispanic male, 28-33 years old, with curly hair wearing a dark jacket and ski mask;
