I was very touched when I read the article in the (Dec. 5, 2003 issue) of the Hicksville Illustrated, "LIPA Workers Rescue Kitten From Tree." It's nice to know that our people care so much about the wonderful animals that we have here on Long Island. Ross Holmes, Dave Komorwski and Joe Sinonsto are heroes in my book. I will certainly commend them for a job well done.

As an owner of four beautiful funky cats, I understand how important pets are. They are like children to many of us. LIPA is always available to help, not only Long Islanders, but their pets when in need.
