The Holy Family Eagles sixth grade boys basketball team recently opened the season on the road in Seaford with a convincing 45-16 victory over Maria Regina. The Eagles used a swarming man to man defense that led to many steals and fast break baskets. After a sluggish first period that saw the Eagles lead 6-4, Holy Family got things in gear as they sped to a 22-6 halftime lead and never looked back. Ben Aloi led an evenly balanced scoring attack with 13 points. Terry Brennan and Ryan Cacchioli each scored seven points and Ryan McEnaney and Chris Dragone had six points. Kevin Amante and Carlos Petitt dominated the boards and Kyle Rogers played outstanding defense. Mike Callahan, Nick Tobin and Connor Mahan each scored a basket and ran the offense to perfection.
