The Red Devils U12 Girls Soccer Team and the Rising Suns U11 Girls Soccer Team celebrated winning the Sportsmanship Award in their respective divisions during a ceremony at the Huntington Town House. The Red Devils have won this first place award three times in a row and the Rising Stars have won second place and first place for the last two season.

The Sportsmanship Award is given to the team that the referees feel has the most respectful girls, coaches and parents. At each game, the teams are given a score and scores are tallied at the end of the season. The team with the highest score gets a patch to wear on their shirt to show they are Sportsmanship Award winners. Some people may think this award is not important, but in this day and age when winning is everything it is nice to see that the Hicksville American Soccer Club still has nice kids, coaches and parents.

Congratulations for the Red Devils, Rising Stars and the many other Hicksville teams that are not mentioned for making Hicksville a great name in the soccer world.
