HFD, Police Respond to Hicksville Auto Accidents
On Sunday, Nov. 9, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Hicksville Fire Department and the Nassau County Police Department responded to a call at the intersection of Levittown Parkway and Stewart. A collision between a red Dodge Shadow and a Honda Civic resulted in injuries to three people who were transported to area hospitals by the fire and police department ambulances. Earlier that day there were two other auto accidents with injuries; one on the northbound side of Newbridge Road and Ballpark Lane and another on Old Country Road and Apex Lane.

NYSPHSAA Girls Swimming, Diving Championships This Weekend
Michael Hollander, president of the Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission, announced that the Nassau County Aquatics Center in Uniondale will host the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Girls Swimming and Diving Championship returns to Long Island for the second time on Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22.

Red Devils, Rising Suns Earn Sportsmanship Awards
The Red Devils U12 Girls Soccer Team and the Rising Suns U11 Girls Soccer Team celebrated winning the Sportsmanship Award in their respective divisions during a ceremony at the Huntington Town House. The Red Devils have won this first place award three times in a row and the Rising Stars have won second place and first place for the last two season.
