Throughout November, Grandmaster Shin's Tae Kwon Do in Hicksville will be taking part in a national project called the "Thanksgiving Basket Brigade." The mission is to deliver 100 Thanksgiving baskets, complete with turkey, rolls, gravy, beans, corn, cranberry sauce, potatoes, pie and much more to local families who would otherwise do without.

To do so, students of Grandmaster Shin's Tae Kwon Do will hold a benefit Kick-A-Thon on Saturday, Nov. 22. The goal of the Kick-A-Thon is to have at least 50,000 kicks performed. The goal for students seven and older is 1,000 kicks while students under seven will do 500 kicks.

Participants will have the chance to earn prizes such as passes to United Skates of America and AdventureLand, T-shirts, karate training equipment and more. In addition, the top money raiser will receive a 6' trophy.

Grandmaster Shin's Tae Kwon Kardio Kickbox Family Development Center is located at 300 South Broadway in Hicksville. For more information or to make a donation, contact Bu SA Mike at 932-5275.
