Congratulations to veteran runner Don Di Donato of Hicksville for finishing 8th place overall in the New Island Hospital 5K Cross Country Run/Walk held at Bethpage State Park in Sept. 7.

Di Donato, 46, was the first runner over the age of 40 to cross the finish line, scoring in 18 minutes, 12.1 seconds - less than a second in front of Brian Cloherty of Roslyn Heights, at the culmination of an exciting stretch duel between these two outstanding veteran runners.

Di Donato is a proud member of the Greater Long Island Running Club and runs competitively for the Runner's Edge Racing Team.
