I would like to take this opportunity to express my support for Gus Costa, who has announced his candidacy for the Hicksville School Board.

Gus is an untiring supporter of the children of Hicksville, whether it be attending school board meetings, school sports events and/or school cultural activities. He has also distinguished himself as a vice president of the Hicksville Youth Council's Boys and Girls Club, and as a fund raiser and board member of the Hicksville Baseball Association.

Gus has been a visible and vocal member of the community with regard to the Hicksville School Board, ensuring that past and current boards work to give the children of Hicksville the best education possible. He has pointed out shortcomings, but has always backed that with alternatives to the problems and issues facing the board.

There is no better person to trust during these challenging times.

I have been fortunate to know Gus and his family for the better part of the past 10 years. His dedication to the youth of Hicksville and his determination to continue in this supportive role must be allowed to continue by voting him to the Hicksville School Board.

Let's allow Gus to continue to make the positive impact he always has made by voting for him and ensuring his election to the Hicksville School Board. Please cast your vote for Gus Costa on May 21 so that he can work with James Pino, Caryn Calabrese and Augustine Tornatore for the good of all Hicksville students.
