The members of the Holy Trinity High School Varsity Cheerleading team recently earned Long Island Cheerleading's highest honor, the title of "Long Island Champions," during a small varsity division at the annual LICCA (Long Island Cheerleading Coaches Association) Championships held at on Feb. 9 at Riverhead High School.

LICCA is the largest cheer organization on Long Island, in which high school teams from all over Long Island compete throughout the season hoping to qualify for finals. In order to qualify, a team must participate in at least two competitions and place in the top five in at least one.

Holy Trinity's season was impeccable, consistently placing first in all competitions entered, except for one second place finish. Congratulations to the team and their coaches for their hard work and dedication and for such a phenomenal season.
