George J. Morris, of Hicksville, died on Dec. 19, 2002, after a long battle with cancer. He was a decorated veteran of WWII, US Army (Bronze Star and Purple Heart), and a member of American Legion Post #1132, Seaford. He was a retired superintendent of the NYC Sanitation Dept. Husband of Ruth. Father of George W. (Patricia), Gregory R. (Rose Ann) and Patricia Olsson (Edward). Brother of Terrence, Alice Burke, Theresa O'Shea, Robert, Brother Roman Morris, OSF, Francis, William and the late Mary Walsh. Grandfather of 10. Uncle of 25.
