A new physical education curriculum is available at St. Ignatius Loyola School this year through the efforts of physical education teacher Mrs. Prazak and the United States Tennis Association.

Mrs. Prazak attended a workshop to learn the practical techniques of teaching tennis in a gym and three professionals from the Hicksville Community Tennis Association graciously donated their time and expertise to conduct tennis clinics for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

In addition, the Hicksville Community Tennis Association will offer an instructional after school program from kindergarten and first graders this winter and has donated a net set-up, balls and a ball carrier. The United States Tennis Association donated 25 tennis rackets to the school.

The students were very enthusiastic and enjoyed learning the basic skills of tennis. Special thanks to Terry Fontana, Church Romeo and Steve Abbondondelo of the Hicksville Tennis Association and to Mrs. Prazak for all her work in making the program a success.
