Library Closed Through January 13
The Hicksville Public Library will be closed from Thursday, Dec. 19 to on or about Monday, Jan. 13 for extensive maintenance. The book drops will be closed. No fines will be charged for library materials. Please keep all library materials at home until the library reopens. In addition, all programs are cancelled until the library reopens and registration for future programs will be rescheduled. The library apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause patrons. The Hicksville Illustrated News received word of the closure at press time. Attempts to reach library personnel were unsuccessful.

Technical Education Center Honoring Joseph M. Barry Dedicated
More than 120 school superintendents, guidance counselors, business and community representatives and Nassau BOCES faculty, administrators and board members attended the formal dedication of the newly renovated Joseph M. Barry Career and Technical Education Center on Dec. 10.
