Holy Family posted its eighth consecutive victory with a dramatic come from behind 34-30 win against St. Matthews. This game featured a classic matchup of size vs. speed.

Early on, Holy Family struggled to score points against their taller opponents and trailed by five at halftime. In the second half, Holy Family's hustle and quickness enabled them to outscore St. Matthew's 21-12 to keep their undefeated streak alive.

Although held scoreless in the first half, Courtney Breen erupted for 13 second-half points to ignite the comeback. Holy Family also got clutch shooting from Valerie Ahrens (seven points), Nicole Robison (six points) and Nicole DeGennerao (five points). Jennifer Osorio, Erin Breen and Michelle Vicidomini helped to neutralize St, Matthew's size advantage with their aggressive rebounding and Katie Leo did an outstanding job pressuring the opponents guards.

Holy Family was clearly out-muscled, but definitely not out-hustled in improving their record to 8-0.
