The Hicksville School District will hold a Memorial Dedication Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Hicksville High School to dedicate the high school flagpole and surrounding area in memory of Hicksville school alumni and community members who were lost in the national tragedy on September 11, 2001. With the ice skating season approaching, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto recently announced that there will be a partial reopening of some facilities at Bethpage Community Park on Friday, Nov. 29. Bethpage Community Park is a town-owned facility which was donated to the Town of Oyster Bay in 1962. The 18-acre park is located on the west side of Stewart Avenue near its intersection with Cherry Avenue. Park facilities include a swimming pool, playground, baseball field and picnic area available to local residents. FULL STORY
