Hicksville Schools to Hold 9/11 Memorial Dedication Ceremony Saturday, November 23
The Hicksville School District will hold a Memorial Dedication Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Hicksville High School to dedicate the high school flagpole and surrounding area in memory of Hicksville school alumni and community members who were lost in the national tragedy on September 11, 2001.

Bethpage Community Park to Partially Reopen
With the ice skating season approaching, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto recently announced that there will be a partial reopening of some facilities at Bethpage Community Park on Friday, Nov. 29. Bethpage Community Park is a town-owned facility which was donated to the Town of Oyster Bay in 1962. The 18-acre park is located on the west side of Stewart Avenue near its intersection with Cherry Avenue. Park facilities include a swimming pool, playground, baseball field and picnic area available to local residents.

Local Runners and Walkers Invited to 15th Annual Ho Ho Ho Holiday Run
A special invitation has been issued to runners and walkers from Syosset, Woodbury, Jericho and Plainview-Old Bethpage, to join in on a morning of festive family fun and fitness at the 15th annual Ho Ho Ho Holiday 5 Kilometer Run to be held on the roads of Bethpage on Saturday morning, Dec. 21.
