I must agree with Joan Testa regarding Hicksville and all the permits that are being issued here for all types of buildings. I knew nothing of another storage area being proposed. I, too, attended the Hicksville Hamlet meetings and wonder why was Mr. Venditto wasting our time. What has been done?

Now we are having another 7-Eleven being built on Jerusalem Avenue. It is being built in between the drive-thru dairy and Teddy's Deli, across the street from Scatturo supermarket. A petition with thousands of signatures was sent to the Town of Oyster Bay regarding our concerns of this unwanted building. We already have three 7-Eleven's here in Hicksville. Why another in an area that is prone to accidents, some which have been deadly?

I wonder where the deliveries will be made? Blocking one lane of Jerusalem Avenue no doubt because the side street has a fire hydrant. What about the poor people who live behind and next to the new 7-Eleven? They are opened 24 hours a day. There are homes being built, sideways on property that once had one house on it.

The Town of Oyster Bay is really doing a number on us in Hicksville. I urge the residents here to call Mr. Venditto with their complaints. If this was Syosset or Jericho this would not be happening.
