Hicksville resident Marisa Pistone recently had two assists as the Hofstra women's soccer team, the Pride remained unbeaten with a 6-0 win over Stony Brook.

Pistone picked up her two assists on a pair of corner kicks over both halves to extend Hofstra's lead to 5-0. Her first assist was recorded when she sent a cross to the six-yard box that was headed in by junior Dolores Deasley with 4:28 left in the half to give the Pride a 4-0 lead at intermission. Just 4:31 into the second half, Pistone struck another perfectly-placed corner kick that was headed in by senior back Erin Magee for another insurance goal.

Pistone played soccer at Hicksville High School and was an All-Nassau County selection her sophomore, junior and senior year. She was also named the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior.
