Ralph W. Rice, 76, formerly of Hicksville, died on Aug. 28, 2002. Born in NYC, he was a WWII US Navy veteran. He served with the NYPD from 1949 to 1969 retiring as a first grade detective. He later worked with the Eastern Sales BankCard Association as a credit card fraud investigator. Husband of Mary Moran Rice. Father of William (Jannell) Rice, Barbara Ellen (Kenneth) Robinson, Robert and Cynthia Rice and Cary Anne and Robert Ehalt. Grandfather of nine.
