Ex-captain Carl Schieferstein, Sr., chairman for the 74th Annual Labor Day Parade and Drill, has announced the final plans for this year's event. The parade is scheduled to step off sharply at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1 from Hicksville Fire Department headquarters on East Marie Street.
