The Cantiague Park Senior Men's Golf League is mourning the death of one of their long-time members, Artie Harlin. He was well liked by all and everyone enjoyed playing in his foursome. Please pray for him and his family.

It was another hot and humid but they still had seven foursomes (28 golfers). They played their third round of the club match championship during their last tournament, held Aug. 1. The golfers still in it are Mike Dolan, Don Gaynor, David Boone and the winner of the match between Don Gangamella and Pat Collins. Collins could not make it during the last tournament and they will try to get together and play their match before next tournament. There was only one birdie that day. That was by Lou Neumann who got a birdie for two consecutive tournaments. The day's bird was on the par 3, 182 yard, ninth hole. The next tournament will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15. Sign in time is at 7 a.m.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 11 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 12 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league and is always looking for new members. Any man who is at least 55 years of age is eligible. For more information, call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
