The Hicksville Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on Tuesday, July 9. At this time, the board for the 2002-2003 school year was sworn in, including newly-elected members Caryn Calabrese and James Pino. A 26-year-old resident of Farmingdale is not facing any charges after striking a 22-year-old Jersey City man on June 30. On that day, at approximately 2:12 a.m., Umar Khawaja of Jersey City, was videotaping the conclusion of a wedding taking place at Antun's Catering Hall in Hicksville when he stepped out into the right lane of Old Country Road.
