I look forward to seeing the new bond proposal that the board of education is putting forth to Hicksville residents.

I am in hopes that Lee Avenue School will be getting a facelift. I've read that the new kitchens in the elementary schools have been deleted. That is a shame because the inside of the school is dreary and needs help. I cannot speak for all the schools but Lee Avenue needs new outdoor equipment and concrete sidewalks. The current aging equipment has had chipping paint where the children's hands are frequently and, for the amount of children in Lee Avenue, it is not adequate. I would like to see the junior high school roof replaced on the breezeway on Fourth Street and the track paved. It is terrible. I also wonder if the high school field box will be included since that was a turn-off for many of the older residents here in the community.

Nonetheless, I will help support the new bond and hope all of the residents here in Hicksville will get it passed.
